Our Story
Legacy Park Palmdale is the brainchild of Pearl Devers, a television film producer who, for many years held the dream of a culturally based theme park in her heart. The goal would be to educate people about Black history and culture in a fun, fantasy-like atmosphere, along with realistic adventures.
Some years later, through a series of fortuitous events, the Devers family became linked to a group of like-minded individuals, who shared their passion to celebrate American cultures in a unique way. This coalition generated the Legacy Edutainment Corporation (LEC).
The company’s purpose is to entertain, educate, enlighten, and empower people in a multi-cultural context. Legacy Park Palmdale will highlight the achievements and contributions of people of color, inclusive of those from a variety of cultures, with the goal of promoting advancement towards human rights and equality.
